Buffalo Check Fur Trees

My obsession with fur and buffalo plaid this year is pretty evident with my Christmas decor.  I made these buffalo plaid fur trees in so little time and with budget friendly supplies. How adorable would this buffalo plaid fur Christmas tree look in your home?

SUPPLIES

  • Tree Ornaments (Target Dollar Spot)
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Fur
  • Dollar Tree Floral craft base  –DOLLAR TREE
  • Craft stick (Dollar Tree)

Let’s get started

These little trees were found at Target and would you believe they were only a dollar! First I used the tree as my template on the buffalo paid paper.  You can use any paper you have on hand.  You can see I did black and white buffalo plaid too and even Cheetah print! How fun! The possibilities are endless! After cutting out the tree I simply mod podged it to the tree ornament.

Once the paper is on, you seal it with a top coat of mod podge.  After the tree was dry I used a craft stick I got from Dollar Tree and secured it to the back. This was perfect to use because it helped me stand the tree up in the base.  You can paint the craft stick to hide it, I’m using mine in a place where you won’t see the back so I wasn’t too worried about it.

Let’s put this Buffalo Plaid Fur Tree together!

Now the fun part working with the fur! I used Gorilla Adhesive and sprayed the base, then wrapped the fur around it. After I stuck the fur to the base I trimmed away the excess. Can you imagine all the different fur colors you can use?

So with the fur attached all I had to do is add the tree. There you go, done! These trees are perfect for tier trays, or on your coffee table tray or anywhere you want some cuteness!
