This season I have been doing a lot of decorating with fur! So why not make a glam snowman, or I should say snow woman! With a few dollar tree supplies I made this snowman sign. This sign will look so cute on my door for the winter.
Supplies needed
- 3 Dollar Tree Crafter Square Circles
- Fur
- Buffalo Check Wood Beads (Etsy)
- Pipe cleaners Dollar Tree
- Orange Yarn- Dollar Tree
- 18 gauge Wire
- Wood Tag or any board
- Scrapbook Paper
- Mod Podge
Let’s get started crafting our snowman sign
STEP 1- Using your board as a template cut your paper out.
Step 2- Put a thin coat of Mod Podge on your board, lay your scrapbook paper on the board, let dry then apply a top coat of mod podge
Step 3- Trace the circles on the fur and cut them out- best way to cut fur is to use an Exacto Knife and tear the fur
Step 4 -Paint one circle all white, paint the edges of the other 2 with white
Step 5- Spray adhesive on 2 circles my favorite brand is HERE
Step 6- Lay your fur on 2 of the circles, the hot glue 3 of the buffalo check beads to one of the circle
Assembling the head
Hot glue a piece of fabric of your choice to the circle, then adhere the pipe cleaner on top of the fabric, I then bunched up some small pieces of fur and glued them on the circle. They were the ear muffs this little snowman needed.
Paint a cute little face. I hand painted the face however you can find snowman faces on Google , print them and then trace it onto the circle and then paint.
Now to make the nose, I took some wire and shaped it like a carrot. I sprayed it with adhesive and wrapped the wire with orange yarn. If you don’t have wire I have made a nose using a paper clip, works just as well! Glue your cute little nose to the face circle.
Putting it all together our Dollar Tree Snowman Sign
Hot Glue all 3 circles to your board. if you want you could take some fabric and add a scarf. I think it finishes it off so perfectly! I also added some arms using some extra Christmas decorations I had laying around.
