SUPPLIES TO MAKE YOUR Diy Easter Topiary Tree
- Large cardboard tree cone (Hobby Lobby)
- White paint by Waverly
- 24 Plastic Easter Eggs of all sizes (robins egg look)
- Tulips bundle (Dollar Tree)
- Faux Moss Stones (Dollar Tree)
- Spanish Moss
- Hot Glue
- Heat gun
Steps
1 – Grab your cardboard tree from your Christmas leftovers and start painting one coat of white by Waverly. Don’t forget to paint your base. This is just in case any parts show through, but hopefully, it won’t be seen.
2 – Use your heat gun to speed up the drying process.
3 – Grab your Easter eggs and your hot glue gun. Begin on the bottom of your cardboard tree. Hold in place.
4 – Randomly place your Easter eggs all over your cardboard tree vertically.
5 – Work in sections of your tree to allow for easier grip as you work. Remember, there will be other fillers to cover those empty spaces, so don’t worry.
6 – Grab your tulips from your bundle and remove them from the stems.
7 – Hot glue your tulips along your cardboard tree.
Tip: Glue to the cardboard so you don’t burn your fingers – then add the flower. Rest them on their side, not glued at the flower’s base.
8 – Eyeball and determine where to place your tulips and fill in how you like.
9 – Hot glue your faux moss stones greenery in open spots.
10 – Use your heat gun to easily remove those pesky glue strings, but don’t do it for too long.
11 – Grab your Spanish moss to fill in open gaps. Attach with hot glue and watch your fingers. Tip* Begin at the bottom and work your way up your tree.
12 – Finish up by trimming the Spanish moss that is sticking out to give it a nice complete, spring clean, fresh look, like all spring decor should have. You really want to see those eggs popping through.
13 – Insert into a silver dish, little plate, or even a silver little bucket to finish it off.
