DIY MASON LID PUMPKIN

Sometimes you have a place in your home that just needs a little fall decor. This simple and quick DIY will be perfect to fill that empty space!  Creating this little mason lid pumpkin couldn’t be easier. I can’t wait to share with you how I put this one together.

supplies needed:

FABRIC- any fabric you have to fit your decor – I used a polka dot fat fabric I purchased at Walmart

20-24 Mason Jar Lids- found here

Twine

Spray Adhesive – Amazon

Step 1 – It’s important to pay attention to the width of your mason lids.  You will need to measure the width then cut your fabric into strips, my lids were about a 1/2 inch thick.

Here’s a tip- use chalk to mark your fabric so it makes it easier to cut

Step 2- In a well ventilated area, lightly spray the rims of the lids and apply your fabric to the lids. You can also use hot glue as well, just be careful as hot glue on metal isn’t the best combination. I decided only to use fabric on half my lids since I loved the look, but you can put them on all of them if you’d like.  Another twist you can do is use ribbon instead of fabric, that would look awesome too!

Step 3- Have your lids facing the same way, alternating between the two kinds of lids. Take your twine and put it through the lids and tie it together tightly. Galvanized pumpkins are trendy so this is the perfect mix of fabric and metal.

How simple was making this DIY Mason Lid Pumpkin?

Now just add a stem and you’re done! I added a cinnamon stick but you can use a wine cork or even a stick from outside.DIY-MASON-LID-PUMPKIN
