Summer is coming to a close to welcome Fall, which is personally my favorite season. There is so much to love about decorating your home with fall decor. One signature decor I have out during the season is sunflowers. Sunflowers were my mother’s favorite flower so when I see them I think of her, and I had to make this fall sunflower!
Supplies needed :
Surface- I used a piece of scrape wood size 10 x10
Dollar Tree Braided Placemat
1 Mason Jar Lid- ensure it is a solid lid and not one that comes apart
16 Wood Biscuits – Size #10
Paint – Waverly Maze Color, Burnt Amber
Adhesive Gorilla Glue
Variety of Ribbons
Step 1: Cut the placemat to the size of your board
Step 2: Using adhesive spray found here, spray the board making sure to cover the entire surface.
Quick Tip: Use a puppy pad under your project on your work surface
Step 3: Paint your biscuits, I used Waverly maze. However, you can use any color you wish.
Step 4- Paint mason jar with in the color Burnt Amber for the center of your fall sunflower
Step 5- Arrange your biscuits using hot glue, attach 6 around the mason jar and then attach the 2nd set of biscuits on top of the 1st layer
Quick Tip- Arrange 4 biscuits at 12 o’clock, 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock
Here is a video of me making the sunflower
Step 6 – Make the bow for your fall sunflower – Cut ribbon, crisscross them and use jute to secure, then attach to your board

That’s it!! It’s it a simple fall sunflower. Can you see yourself making this? Remember to PIN IT so that you always have it for when you’re ready to make yours.
