If you are looking for a Gnome with a twist, this DIY is for you. By using some material I had, I was able to make this quick and easy Christmas decor!

Supplies Needed
- Paper Mache Cone/Tree (Hobby Lobby)
- Any Material ( I used a Target Dollar Spot Blanket)
- Scrapbook Paper
- Pom- Pom Garland (Hobby Lobby)
- Wooden Knob (AMAZON STORE)

Steps to make Gnome
Step 1- Measure and cut a square piece off of the blanket. Make sure it would go all the way around the cone. Since my blanket had a fringe that I wanted to lay on the bottom of the cone I started there and went all the way around making sure my seam was nice and straight in the back.

Step 2- Apply some Mod Podge to the cone and then Mod Podge the scrapbook paper. When you use Mod Podge it’s best not to use too much because it will cause wrinkles. I didn’t have a cut pattern, I simply laid my paper out and marked where to cut it. Then wrap the paper around the cone remembering to keep the seam in the back for a cleaner look.

Step 3- Attach the nose, I originally went with smaller nose but after I took this photo I decided I like a much larger nose. So I used a wooden knob found here AMAZON STORE , you can definitely use a smaller nose if you prefer. I just think when I think of gnomes I think of the big nose!

Step 4 – Attach the pom-poms – this is the fun part. I thought the pom poms were the perfect beard so I cut them in different lengths. You can have fun with how you want to arrange them.
Wasn’t that fun and easy?! It was so easy to put this little Gnome together and I was so thrilled with it. It’s definitely unique! If you loved it I would love to know! Also remember to “Pin It” so you can always find it in the future. You can see how I made him LIVE click here DIY POM POM GNOME
