Wooden bead garland are oh so popular in most decor. I have such a love for them and use them often. There is a twist to this garland as I’ll be making a tassel that can be changed out seasonally.
Supplies you will need
- 20 mm wooden beads
- Twine
- Ribbon
- Split Rings
- Magnetic Clasp
- Dollar Tree Buffalo Plaid Scarf
- Any Type Ribbon
- Any Type Christmas Ribbon

The steps to make the garland are fairly easy. You will need 18 Wooden beads to make the strand. Simply cut a long piece of twine to start beading. Tie a knot at that end of the twine and starting stringing the beads.

Once you have 17 beads on the twine your next step is to put the strings together and string one bead on both pieces of twine. You will string a total of 3 to come to a point.

Once you have the last bead on, tie a small knot at the end. Then you will need to take put a small drop of glue onto the magnetic part and push into the hole, pushing the knot into the bead. You will have what looks like the picture below.

Now the fun part, the tassell. I used a variety of black and white ribbon and my mini Bowdabra found in my AMAZON STORE. The technique is very simple , simply slide twine or Bowdabra wire into the base just as the instructions call for. Then you stack the different types of ribbon, once you are happy with the thickness of the tassel, simply tie the wire or twine around the ribbons. Trim the pieces of ribbon once you are happy with the look.

Once your tassel is complete you will slide the split ring and the magnetic clasps onto the tassel. You can add a dab a glue to the split ring however it should stay in place. This vital piece is what makes these tassels special.

Now you can make your Christmas tassel using the same technique above. There’s so many possibilities
