STEPS:
You guys, I love my Cricut machine. And when creating these DIY Dollar Tree Christmas Candles, let me share with you my 2 most important tips. First, be sure to keep your design simple. Simple and sweet is a phrase for a reason y’all! Second, remember to be extra patient. It is a virtue, after all! For those of you who do not have a Cricut, that is okay! There are options to get this cute craft accomplished without one of those machines. Use adhesive vinyl found at your local craft store, and basically wrap your candle in it. Measure, cut, and call it good.

Dollar Tree Candle Christmas Decor

1 - Remove your tags and stickers from your Dollar Tree Candle. Use alcohol and a lint-free wipe/rag to make sure your candle is free from all debris.
2 - Get your images cut on your Cricut machine. I found this great SVG file from Creative Fabrica. Tip* Insert Glass Wrap Designs to find the image you love best!
3 - Begin weeding your SVG files with your weeding tool. Throw away your excess vinyl.
4 - Pay attention to the little hearts on your vinyl pieces. These are called registration marks. They help you layer and line up your vinyl on top of each for ease and convenience.5 - The more detailed your vinyl, the more time it takes to weed. Hang in there. It will be worth it. Trim excess vinyl if needed as you weed. Tip* If your images are not removed as easily as you would like, then add more pressure to your Cricut machine to ensure it has a cleaner cut the next time.
6 - Look back to your design space to see the image to remind you what your final look should appear as. This will help you as you are weeding. Tip* Save those little black trees for another project. You could add them to something else to add your own personal style to any store-bought item or a DIY project.
7 - Next grab your transfer tape and place it over your weeded vinyl, being sure to have it pressed down firmly. Use a flat-edge tool to help you remove all air bubbles. Trim the excess from your vinyl.
8 - Carefully remove the black polka dot design on your transfer tape.
9 - Use the hearts (registration marks) to help you line up the placement onto your green trees. Tip* Be slow and focus on your registration marks to be your guide. This takes practice, so don’t beat yourself if it doesn't work perfectly. Remember the trees are supposed to be off-centered so don’t stress.
10 - Use your flat edge tool to make sure there are no bubbles before you begin removing your layered design from your Cricut Mat.
11 - Bring your clean candle over and carefully create a visual image for your middle point before placing your Christmas image down. Once happy, gently lay it down from the center, working your way around the candle. Before you lay the complete another side, so as to not have an overlapping piece, make sure you have worked out all air bubbles. Press firmly with your fingers as you begin to remove your transfer tape. Tip* Be extra patient.
12 - Have fun decorating your hose with these, setting your dinner table using these as a table seat placement, or wrapping up with twine for your loved ones this holiday season. So cute!
