Having your own craft room in your home is the ultimate dream of all crafters/creators/DIYers. Your own special spot to let those creative juices flow and make magic happen is simply a magical thing. I am sharing with you today how I have organized my craft room thanks to my Dreambox!
I will be honest y’all. Getting to this point in my life was a bit bumpy in the last year or so. But man oh man, my tiny little craft room is a DREAM come true. And I owe a lot of it to Dreambox. ( And my awesome hubby who helped put it together.) Being able to craft in an organized, clean, creative space means so much to me.
Let me show you how to make your crafting dreams come true with a Dreambox, no matter the size of your space.
How To Set Up Your Craft Room

My craft room is not a monster size space, friends. It is a 10×10 room that we have taken every opportunity to maximize every inch of it in a way that is functional and fabulous for me. Some of you might have a bigger space to work.
Some of you might have a smaller one. Let me offer this advice though… whatever size space you have, just remember to be thankful for it and all its glory, y’all! Crafting can be done anywhere, so just enjoy it.
Step On In
All of my tech set-ups is to help my LIVES go as smoothly as possible. And if you have ever had the chance to check one of my LIVES out, you will know that even with all the TECH stuff, things don’t always go as planned. But that is life, right? At least I have a sweet setup to help me do the best I can for you guys! And if you don’t go live, then you do not have to worry about all this TECH stuff in your craft room.
I get lots of questions about my paint storage. I can say I’m happy with it but feel it’s a bit wonky. However, since I get so many questions I’ll share my referral link and you can decide if it will work in your space.
Staging Corner
Natural lighting is key, and in my craft room, I don’t have a lot of it. And in order for me to get great shots of the DIY projects I create to share with all of my crafting friends, pretty pictures are a priority. So I make sure to have my staging area for all of my pictures in the best spot in the room. That spot is right next to the window. I have a little desk, and an interchangeable backdrop, and can easily add any little decor/embellishments if needed. Easy peasy pictures with a simple staging area.
My Pottery Barn Craft Desk
This was the best Marketplace find EVER, thanks to my Hubby. I love all of the storage and organization it provides. I keep tools together, greenery, burlap, ribbons, yarn, felt balls, paint, etc. Everything has a home. The organization is a key friend! I have to purge regularly, in order to function.
On the top of my desk, I love my Lazy Susan Tiered Tray with so many of my favorite acrylic paints. Keeping these handy, and spinny, makes me happy while crafting. Do you love a good Lazy Susy as I do? Right next to it is my Offline I got from Joann’s. It is a perfect craft desk light, friends. Tiny and gives off great light.
My Tim Holtz mat is new to the mix, but I have liked it so far. I keep it extra clean with, of course, PUPPY PADS! If you have not used puppy pads while creating, you are missing out. Such easy clean-up!
Down underneath, I have a tall trash bin, because crafting can get really messy, real fast. My hubby mounted a paper towel holder because he is an absolute genius! And you will also find an electrical strip to keep all of my things plugged in so I can craft with ease. You know all the things that need to be plugged in right… heat gun, glue guns, my iPad, Cricut… all the things that need power.
Ikea Pegboard

I love this addition to my craft room because it helps me stay organized in the simplest way. All of the little bins and baskets are interchangeable in position. I love that they are clear and compact. I love that I can display little crafts that aren’t used in my home at a time, on there. But mostly I love IKEA for always making things practical, clean, and simple no matter the space they are intended for. A pegboard is an absolute must in my opinion for any craft room.
Make Your Craft Room Be Your Room
I have all sorts of BEE decor, art, inspirational statements, and pictures of my sweet girls that are in here to make this space feel my own. It just makes me happy and that is what it is all about.
Rolling Carts
I use this cart all the time, especially when I am on a LIVE. It is convenient and handy because it is on wheels. All of my crafting friends helped me decide on which one would be the best. Michael’s Rolling Craft Cart won for me!
Rolling Flat Tray is what keeps me prepared for a LIVE, by keeping things nice and organized. See, I said that word again. The organization is key. I have each step planned out and ready for me, so things go nice and smooth.
Closet Storage with Ikea Bins
Any excess that does not fit in my Pottery Barn Craft desk or the most spectacular piece of storage that I have in my craft room, that I have not yet mentioned… but I will, ( I am saving the best for last y’all!) I fit into my closet. These bins are organized by category. Fabric, Cricut Stuff, floral, wood pieces etc. Tip* I should label my bins, but that is my next project to continue improving my craft room because that is never really done, right!?
More About The Dreambox
Why Use a Dreambox?
If you have not picked up on my love for organization, I will say it one more time. The organization is KEY!!!! And a Dreambox helps you be the most organized crafter you can be. I love that it comes with step-by-step, explicit directions, all the bins your heart can imagine, along with a fold-out table to boot. They thought to use every space possible because they have thought of everything for you! I love a company that helps me think clearly.
Ease of A Dreambox… To start!
I will be honest, this was no DREAM to put together. But my hubby and I were committed because we knew how much organization means to both of our sanity. So we bit the bullet in the pricing and the undertaking of assembling it. It took us roughly 10 hours to put together, from start to finish. But, the finished product was worth all of the blood, (there was no blood), sweat, and tears (there was sweat and a few tears.)
How to set up a Dreambox?
The company was great to work with. Once the LARGE package was delivered, we decided to stick with the suggested setup for the Dreambox provided. It holds ALLLLLL of the things! My ribbons, my Mod Podge, Wood Beads, Cutting Mats, Stamps, Paint, Stencils, Plastic Bins with decorative templates to personalize your look, wires, twine, jute, scrapbook, fabric, tags, magnets, pens, etc. You guys, if I use it regularly to craft, I have it handy in my Dreambox. It allows me to see so much of my 8 million supplies with ease and sanity.
