There’s something so calming to me about this sign. I love the look of a simple sign. No words needed. I found some cutting boards at Dollar Tree and knew I wanted to make a sign out of it.
Supplies needed
- Cutting Board- Dollar Tree
- Snowflake Stencil Essential Stencils
- Scorch Marker AMAZON STORE
- Painter’s Tape
- Heat gun
The steps to make this is so easy that it will amaze you! All you need to do tape your stencil to your board. Using the marker, color in your stencil. Remove your stencil, let the design dry. As the design dries your will see the snowflake design become pink.
Watch the magic happen
Using your heat gun, start placing direct heat on the design. You will start to see the design coming through. The wood burning look is amazing! It’s such a unique DIY! This will become addicting because you can do this technique on so many items. My mind is already racing thinking I can do this on cutting boards from Goodwill, how about rolling pins… the possibilities are endless!
To finish off the sign I added some embellishments because everything is better with a little sparkle. Don’t you agree?
